Rebuilding Sri Lanka: Supporting the Zonal Education Office, Giriulla

It is a great pleasure and honor for Technocity and Laptop.lk to donate a brand-new PC, fitted with a Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD, along with a 22 inch monitor and UPS unit, to the Zonal Education Office, Giriulla, under the Rebuilding Sri Lanka project.

Unlike a school laboratory built for a full classroom of students, this contribution targets a different, equally important part of the education system: the administrative backbone that keeps schools in the region running. A zonal education office coordinates everything from staffing and resources to communication between schools and the wider education ministry, and reliable computing equipment there has a way of rippling outward, making that coordination faster and more effective for every school under its umbrella.

This contribution aims to strengthen digital infrastructure and support the advancement of education across the region, extending the same commitment behind the Rebuilding Sri Lanka initiative beyond individual classrooms and into the systems that support them.

The official handover was carried out by Mr. Gehan Thangappan, Director of Technocity Pvt Ltd, Mr. Hemal Chandrathne, Head of Services at Technocity Pvt Ltd, and Mr. Mohamed Inshaf, Manager at Laptop.lk Pvt Ltd, representing the companies' continued commitment to empowering education through technology.
