Rebuilding Sri Lanka: IT Lab No. 09 Completed at Halabawatuwana Maha Vidyalaya, Chilaw

Technocity and Laptop.lk are thrilled to announce the successful completion of IT Lab No. 09, this time at Halabawatuwana Maha Vidyalaya, Chilaw, under the Rebuilding Sri Lanka project. It's a milestone worth marking on its own, and a sign of how far the initiative has come with nine fully equipped laboratories now delivered to schools across the country.

Access to modern technology isn't just an advantage. It's a foundation for the future. By equipping students with essential digital infrastructure and hands-on learning facilities, this project helps bridge the digital divide and opens doors to opportunities in higher education, careers, and innovation that would otherwise be harder to reach.

The new IT facility includes:

20 brand-new Intel Core i5 desktop computers
20 HD 22 inch LED monitors
20 UPS units
1 all-in-one InkTank printer
A complete computer laboratory furniture setup

For the students of Halabawatuwana Maha Vidyalaya, this means a fully functioning digital classroom rather than a handful of machines shared between too many students. Reliable computers, dependable power backup, and proper furniture together create the kind of environment where students can actually build fluency with technology, not just get occasional exposure to it.

That fluency carries weight well beyond the classroom. Whether it's coursework, digital examinations, or the basic computer literacy that further education and employment increasingly assume students already have, a properly resourced lab gives every student in the room the same starting point to build from.
