Rebuilding Sri Lanka: A New Computer Laboratory for Fathima Balika Vidyalaya, Puttalam

Technocity Private Limited and Laptop.lk have proudly donated and established a fully equipped computer laboratory at Fathima Balika Vidyalaya, Puttalam, as part of the ongoing Rebuilding Sri Lanka initiative. It's another step in the journey toward a digitally empowered Sri Lanka, and another school where students now have the tools to develop essential digital skills and face the future with confidence.

The entire laboratory was fully funded and donated by Technocity and Laptop.lk, a contribution made specifically to strengthen digital education and empower the next generation of Sri Lankan students. The new IT facility includes:

21 branded desktop computers
21 HD LED monitors
20 UPS units
4 all-in-one InkTank printers
A complete computer lab furniture setup

Together, these additions turn an empty room into a fully functioning digital classroom, one where students can move straight from switching on a machine to actually learning on it, without gaps in equipment or reliability getting in the way.

For the students of Fathima Balika Vidyalaya, that matters well beyond the walls of the lab itself. Reliable access to computers, monitors, and printers gives them the everyday familiarity with technology that coursework, exams, and later, the working world, increasingly expect as a baseline rather than a bonus.
